The calendar year 2024 carries the vibration of the Pranic Body–the source of infinite energy available for us to raise our vitality, elevate our spirit, and serve in the world. This year’s newsletter series celebrates Ministers who are engaged in meaningful service—in their communities and around the world. This seva looks different for each Minister, but the desire to serve and uplift from the heart is the unifying thread across our Ministry.
In his brief life, Guru Har Krishan, our eighth Guru, embodied those traits. Known as a natural healer, he was sought by many people suffering during the smallpox epidemic in Delhi–using his spirit to elevate them, even as they faced imminent death. It is not surprising that he himself contracted smallpox, and left his body at the age of eight.
Our May issue highlights the efforts of Sikh Dharma Ministers engaged in two meaningful areas of service—education/youth programs and food seva.
In this issue, we chose to honor and highlight two extraordinary Ministers as our “Ministers in the Spotlight” — SS Prem Kaur Khalsa from Guadalajara, Spain, and MSS Krishna Kaur Khalsa from Los Angeles, California.
