Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh!
We had a very special Ministers’ gathering at Summer Solstice 2015. Our intent was to set an energetic frequency for the future of the Ministry. SS Sevak Singh from Phoenix, Arizona, gave us a wonderful introduction to the concept of “Indra’s Web,” offering us an opportunity to see ourselves as precious jewels in the global web of the Ministry.
We remembered that the foundation for the Ministry was built on Guru Amar Das’s vision, and we spoke about our global Ministry at this time in history. Presently, we have Ministers on seven continents! We introduced those Ministers that were present from our international community.
As multisensory human beings, we have vastly different ways of perceiving, through the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic senses. SS Dr. Shanti Shanti Kaur took us through a meditation for the sensory system and then guided us through these senses in relation to the future of the global Ministry. Color-coded cards were used to capture what we saw, heard, and felt as the future of the Ministry.
While SS Dr. Shanti Shanti Kaur and I sorted through the cards to come up with key concepts from the participants, SS Sarb Nam Kaur took the group through a powerful and fun experiential exercise to create a web (using yarn and imagination!). Lighthearted at first, the exercise became more and more profound as it progressed. It touched people’s hearts and souls as we felt our spiritual connection as a global community of Ministers.
Visioning the Future
Here is what manifested as the energetic frequency of the future of the Sikh Dharma Ministry (the key concepts generated by the Ministers):
