Three new Ministers were ordained in Summer 2024: SS Dr. Darshan Singh Khalsa (Virginia, USA), SS Avtar Kaur Khalsa (Hessen, Germany) and SS Bachitar Kaur Khalsa (Engen, Germany). Darshan Singh took his vows in-person at the Sadhana Gurdwara at Hacienda de Guru Ram Das in Espanola, New Mexico on June 15. Avtar Kaur was ordained during Gurdwara at the European Yoga Festival 2024 on August 10 at Chateau de Jambville near Paris, France. SS Shiva Singh Khalsa will facilitate a Minister Gathering at the 2023 Winter Solstice Festival in Lake Wales, Florida! This will be the first in-person Minister gathering since the beginning of the COVID pandemic. It will be taking place on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. in the Gurdwara/Palafito space. The Office of the Secretary of Religion is here to support all Ministers in getting current so that they can participate in the various aspects of the SSSC election. On May 25, 2022 the SSSC announced that the election timeline originally announced earlier this year has been delayed by 75 days. In order to vote in the election, and write letters of recommendation for Sangat members applying to join the electorate, all Ministers must be in good standing.
