New Ministers Ordained in Summer 2025

Three new Ministers were ordained in Summer 2025: SS Paramnam Singh Khalsa (New Mexico, USA), SS Adi Shakti Kaur Khalsa (New Mexico, USA) and SS Tiaga Priti Kaur Khalsa (Hildesheim, Germany)! Paramnam Singh and Adi Shakti Kaur were ordained during morning Gurdwara following Asa Ki Var on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Summer Solstice 2025 at Ram Das Puri, just outside of Española, New Mexico. Tiaga Priti Kaur took her vows at the European Yoga Festival 2025 on August 10, 2025 at Domaine de Chalès, Nouan-le-Fuzelier, France.

These new Sikh Dharma Ministers were ordained in the presence of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. SS Dr. Sat Kaur Khalsa, Secretary of Religion, performed the vows and oath of a Sikh Dharma International Minister for Paramnam Singh and Adi Shakti Kaur. SS Prem Kaur Khalsa of Spain, who is serving as Secretary General for Sikh Dharma International, performed the vows and oath of a Sikh Dharma International Minister for Tiaga Priti Kaur, at the direction of the Secretary of Religion.

SS Paramnam Singh Khalsa of Los Alamos, NM is a Design Drafter with experience in customer service, project management and an array of IT and technical skills including CAD (Creo and Solidworks). He possesses many audio-visual talents as well, including video editing, social media, podcasting, and more. He previously served as a Contract Specialist with Akal Security. He has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Traditional Eastern Arts from Naropa University (2014). He has been living as a Khalsa Sikh for the past 15 years, and is an extremely humble, devoted and serviceful member of the Hacienda de Guru Ram Das sangat in Española, New Mexico! 

SS Adi Shakti Kaur Khalsa of Los Alamos, NM is a caregiver and homeschooler to her four beautiful children, and a dedicated Sevadar in the Hacienda de Guru Ram Das sangat in Española, New Mexico, along with her husband. She is an educator with experience as an elementary, pre-Kindergarten, and student teacher, along with private tutoring and religious education. She has extensive experience with data-driven curriculum development, small-group instruction, classroom management and extra-curricular leadership responsibilities. She obtained her Master of Science (MS) degree in TESOL from Wilmington University (2013) and her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Education from West Chester University (2006). Paramnam Singh and Adi Shakti Kaur are raising their four children as Khalsa, and put God and Guru in the center of their home and marriage.

SS Tiaga Priti Kaur Khalsa of Hildesheim, Germany is a member of the Sikh Dharma International (SDI) Board of Directors. Born and raised in Germany, she brings a wealth of experience serving the international Sangat in various capacities. She currently serves as the Property Manager of Dashmesh Sadan in Anandpur Sahib, India. She previously served as the Director of Student Life and Teacher of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation at Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, India. Additional experience includes serving as a Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Teacher, as well as in Ashram Management (social media, finances, events, social media and marketing) at Ashram Ram Dass Guru in Sintra, Portugal and Guru Ram Das Aquarian Academy in Boizenburg, Germany. She has completed KRI International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Levels I and 2. She obtained her MA in Catholic Theology and her BA in Catholic Theology, English Linguistics, Education and Psychology, both from the University of Hildesheim, Germany.

Akal Dayal Yatra:  November 20-December 1, 2025

2025 marks the 350th year anniversary of the Martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur and the ascendancy of Guru Gobind Singh to the Guruship.

Sikh Dharma International is marking this historical event by hosting the Akal Dyal Yatra – a historical and spiritual journey to join the world in celebrating the ultimate sacrifice by Guru Teg Bahadur on behalf of religious freedom everywhere.

SDI will celebrate these momentous historical events with the Global Sangat by meeting together in Amritsar and meditating at the Golden Temple. After bowing their heads in Amritsar, the group will be traveling to Dashmesh Sadan in Anandpur Sahib as part of the SGPC-organized centenary celebrations. The group will stay at Yogi Bhajan’s beautiful home in the shadow of the Naina Devi Mountain, and then spend several days in Anandpur Sahib exploring the area and immersing themselves in a special Sadhana, joining multitudes of devoted pilgrims visiting the holy places of Guru Teg Bahadur and his son, Guru Gobind Singh. This is a spiritual yatra and a chance to embrace India in the company of those people who meditate on the Naam.

For those who knew and loved MSS Shakti Parwha Kaur Khalsa, this yatra will also provide an opportunity to honor her legacy by participating in an ashes scattering ceremony at Kiratpur Sahib.
