New Ministers Ordained in Chile
Two new Ministers were ordained at the International Kundalini Yoga Festival in Chile: SS Rai Singh and SS Sat Bachan Kaur, a beautiful couple from Valdivia, Chile! Rai Singh and Sat Bachan Kaur were ordained during morning Gurdwara at the International Kundalini Yoga Festival Chile on January 24, 2025 at “El Almendro,” near Santiago Centro, Metropolitan Region.
These new Sikh Dharma Ministers were ordained in the presence of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. SS Prem Kaur Khalsa of Spain, who is serving as Secretary General for Sikh Dharma International, performed the vows and oath of a Sikh Dharma International Minister at the direction of the Secretary of Religion, due to internet connectivity issues on site. Prem Kaur reported that the ceremony was all in Spanish, and very touching for the whole sangat.
SS Rai Singh Uriarte of Valdivia, Chile is a marketing professional, with over a decade of experience in web production for nonprofits, businesses and organizations in all parts of the world. He currently serves as the Marketing Manager for 3HO International. He is passionate about productivity, personal growth and helping others achieve their goals. Rai Singh is a writer and blogger, and founder of comunidadkundalini.com, one of the pioneer websites open to share a space for the Kundalini community in Spanish. He loves to share his experience of his life practicing Kundalini yoga and following the wisdom of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. He lives in Southern Chile near Patagonia with his family. He studied Administration and Marketing at DUOC UC in Santiago.
SS Sat Bachan Kaur Quiroga of Valdivia, Chile is a Conscious Pregnancy and child-raising expert with two decades devoted to the study, practice and teaching of Kundalini Yoga in this area. She is a pioneer in Latin America, developing a training in Yogic Child Raising. She is a Lead Trainer in Conscious Pregnancy. Sat Bachan Kaur is passionate about working with families and schools to create encouraging and inspiring environments using the techniques of Kundalini Yoga. She has been involved in Sikh Dharma Chile since 2004, supporting and creating the space for Sikhism developed in Chile. She has been a regular organizer of the Akhand Path in Chile, serves as the head of Sikh Dharma at the International Chilean Festival and represents Sikh Dharma with her son at the Global Network of Religions for Children. She studied Education and graduated with a degree in Anthropology from Universidad Austral del Chile in 2011, with a thesis in “the cultural change experienced by people in the Kundalini Yoga community Guru Teg Bahadur in Valdivia.”
2025 Minister Credential Renewal Begins Soon
Staying current with our annual renewal process allows each Minister to effectively deliver their gifts. Annual Sikh Dharma Minister credential renewal notices will be sent out at the end of February.
Since this is a non-exam year, please take the few minutes necessary to become current from Baisakhi 2025 to Baisakhi 2026. For those of you who are not current, a non-exam year is a great opportunity to “catch up.”
