Although the days of Guru Hargobind Singh Ji’s life must have been filled with unimaginable stress and difficulty, the results of his ability to keep up continue to live on. The battles of his time, involving tens of thousands of people are over, yet after nearly 370 years, 27 million people around the globe remember that he was a living example of the balance between the spiritual and earthly realms.
Use this profound example of balance today to take advantage of this natural principle of creativity. An unfathomable complexity of delicate balance sustains an immense diversity of life in the rain forests. Achieve that delicacy and interplay between the etheric and earthly forces in your life and witness the flowering of opportunity that results.
Abundance is the visible expression of how natural elements interact on this earth. It is a great mystery, yet it reveals itself to us inside and out at all times. Together, our minds are constantly creating and recreating endless thought, just as the ocean waves move untold billions of sand particles, every moment of every day, creating an endlessly changing landscape.
The more we discover the intricately complex interdependence of life forms on this planet, the more incomprehensible becomes the power that holds the balance. Amidst this limitless order we may still struggle with balancing the simple dualities we encounter in our daily lives.
Can the answer be to simply surrender to the flow of nature that miraculously balances the earth on its journey through space? Can it be as simple as choosing to be deeply relaxed and weightless in our personal orbit? That would seem attractive, but the human condition rarely seems that simple.
The Art of Balance
Guru Hargobind Singh Ji was a master of the art of balance, but balance is not inaction. It is in fact a constant subtle calibration of complex motion. When faced with the challenges of tyranny and injustice he was decisive and powerful.
When faced with the task of elevating souls he was compassionately and profoundly effective. Perhaps weightless in spite of the immeasurable weight of thousands of human lives, perhaps elegantly relaxed in the nourishment of thousands of human souls. His astounding example of strength and delicacy lives on to serve as an inspiration to all people.
The blessing of the technology to develop this balance in life can be found on every page of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. We are reminded in every artful and practical manner, with every word, to fill our minds with the sacred sounds of the Divine. The effect is to bring the tranquility of balance to our core. We have the amazing ability to create, within the depth and privacy of our own minds, any sound we can imagine.
Over thousands of years the sounds most effective to elevate consciousness have been preserved and presented to us. Unimaginable sacrifice and unlimited kindness is the price that has been paid for us to receive this gift.
Every moment that we remember to remember, to create the sacred within the silence of our own minds, brings us closer to that precious natural balance that Guru Hargobind Singh Ji expressed with such indelible brilliance so long ago. Honor the sacrifices, create and listen to the internal sacred vibrations, bring balance within.
