Experience vs. Superstition

Experience vs. Superstition

by Sant SS Guru Dev Singh Khalsa, Rome, Italy Fall 2016 How do we experience the Subtle Body? It is experienced through awareness. Unfortunately, 99.9% of the people are not aware, or not aware enough to recognize their experience. So we meditate and bring stability to our meditation and awareness. If you understand the Subtle Body, imagine it like a radio transmission, like waves. The archetype system we learned from the Siri Singh Sahib of the eleven Light Bodies can be paralleled with the ten Gurus of the Sikhs, the eleventh being the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. The ninth body (the Subtle Body), in Sikh

Subtle Body and Healing Generations

Subtle Body and Healing Generations

by SS Hargopal Kaur Khalsa, Los Angeles CA Fall 2016 Sometimes, in meeting a person, the exterior gruffness or roughness can be off-putting. At the same time, the Siri Singh Sahib always said, “If you can’t see God in all, you can’t see God at all.” Relating to that person at a more subtle level often brings to awareness the pain they’ve had in their life, the fear they have, the masks they display. Then it’s possible to relate to the beauty, the image of how God is showing up in them. “[In the] same way in our life we

Evolution of Consciousness

Evolution of Consciousness

by SS Dr. Kartar Singh Khalsa DOM, Santa Fe NM Fall 2016 As we go through the evolutionary process of consciousness, our souls develop the capacity to experience life more thoroughly through the Subtle Body. The Subtle Body—being the container for the soul and the sensory organ of the soul—gives us the capacity to experience the subtlety of God in all things. As our consciousness grows, so does our ability to “read between the lines,” in order to pick up the subtle cues expressed in the ways people speak and act. When students or patients come to us, they are

The Whole World in Your Hands

The Whole World in Your Hands

by SS Sat Kartar Kaur Khalsa, Espanola NM (as told to SS Sangeet Kaur, Article Editor) Fall 2016 I came to Hacienda de Guru Ram Das in Espanola in April 1991. One day I was doing some seva (service) at the Ranch [the Siri Singh Sahib’s residence]. I was just coming back from cleaning a trailer, with a brush and rag in hand. Let’s just say, I was not elegantly attired. The Siri Singh Sahib ji was in the dining room and saw me. “Oh you, come here!”  He had me sit down at the table with all the staff

Secretary of Religion Column (Fall 2016)

“The Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Yogiji is coming!” Do you remember what it was like when the Siri Singh Sahib would visit our communities? There was much preparation, cleaning, repairing of things that might have been neglected for a while, all in a mad dash to receive our teacher. The whole vibration of the living space seemed to be lifted, brightened, cleansed, and transformed. When he would arrive, his eagle eye would inspect all that had been done. If something had been missed, he would see it, comment on it and tell someone to fix it or

#61 Fall 2016 Newsletter

Throughout 2016, our Ministry newsletter is focused on the Subtle Body. We invited Sikh Dharma Ministers to reflect on how we impact the world through our Subtle Bodies. Especially, how do we use the Subtle Body to support us in situations of challenge as we serve as teachers, leaders, and healers of the Aquarian Age? For the Fall 2016 issue, our theme is Healing and the Subtle Body. Please enjoy these articles and personal stories by Sikh Dharma Ministers about the Subtle Body in relation to our roles as healers and Ministers.   “When the Subtle Body, the carrier of the soul unto the destiny
