The calendar year 2025 carries the vibration of the Subtle Body—the subtle perceptual ability to sense the Infinite and universal reality within the material and physical worlds. In his life, Guru Teg Bahadur, our ninth Guru, embodied these traits. Guru Teg Bahadur spent much of his life in deep meditation, and is well known for his Sloks in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib emphasizing non-attachment as the key to happiness and spiritual fulfillment.
During these times of challenge, stillness and steadiness are essential qualities for Ministers to cultivate within themselves. This year’s newsletter series will focus on different aspects of the concept of Shuniya, or the “zero point”—a state of ultimate stillness and receptivity that is the compass point of Sach (ultimate Truth).
Our February issue explores the experience of Shuniya at the individual and personal level. Authors were invited to reflect on the following questions: How do you cultivate and practice Shuniya in your daily life? What have you found helpful in maintaining neutrality during chaotic times? What individual qualities support development of a state of Shuniya in one’s consciousness? What challenges arise when trying to reside in a state of stillness?
